Thanks for reaching out sopwith (or Mr. Camel?). No doubt baby boomers have dropped the ball big time in many regards, not least in how we have pursued the conveniences of secularism to the exclusion of faith and the moderating, life-enhancing influences of traditional religion since the early 20th century. But I find it difficult to condemn people of any generation for falling prey to the illusions and convention of the times in which they live. Just as I wouldn't wash away the stunning achievements of the Founding Fathers because of their personal associations with slavery, I have a hard time condemning baby boomers for the desire not too revisit the privations of their parents: little things like the Great Depression and World War II.
